There are some towers , one of them is called White Tower,
it was the first tower , built in 1078 by William the Conqueror , it was used to protect London from outside invaders .This was as much to protect the normans from the people of the City of London as to protect London from outside invaders. The White Tower is 90 feet (27 m) high and the walls vary from 15 feet (4.5 m) thick at the base to almost 11 feet (3.3 m) in the upper parts.

Bloody tower: In 1483 the Duke of Gloucester imprisoned his two nephews, the princes who were the rightful heirs to the crown. They disappeared and he became the king called Richard the third.

The leyend of the ravens: Now there are seven ravens permanent in the Tower of London; their wings are cut so they can't fly away.A superstition from the time of Charles II says that If there aren't ravens on the tower of london, the white Tower and the kingdom will fall.

Many tudor prisoners entered the tower of london through the Traitors' Gate. The gate was built by Edward I.This door was used so that prisoners didn't scape. When the tide was high the water covered the door.

The tower bridge.

Tower Bridge, right beside the castle, was built in the last century as the most seaward of the capital's bridges over the
Thames. Its position meant that large ships had to pass under it to enter the city's Port. They could not have passed under a conventional bridge, this novel design got round the problem by having roadways that could be raised like a castle drawbridge.
